Fresno Church Seeks Lead Pastor

The Fresno Christian Reformed Church (FCRC) is seeking a Lead Pastor to guide this congregation into an exciting future. This vibrant congregation looks forward to opening a new chapter of ministry, one which will involve discipleship of a growing base of young adults, build upon the foundation of the congregation’s deep commitment to compelling community, and cultivate a renewed commitment to impact the Fresno community with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This healthy, growing, and family-orientated congregation, with an average weekly attendance of 120, is praying for a man after God’s own heart who has been gifted to communicate the truths of God’s Word in a relevant manner, and also gifted to provide wise leadership to a youthful established congregation.

The city of Fresno is located in the heart of the state in the fertile San Joaquin Valley. With a population of over 480,000, it is the fifth largest city in the state of California. While large, many consider Fresno to be the perfect size, offering a unique blend of rural, suburban and urban amenities. Plus, how can you beat the view of the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevadas? Fresno is also the home of the Fresno Christian School system.

The ideal candidate will be gifted as both a communicator of God’s Word and a leader of God’s people. He will find it easy to navigate social relationships with a wide variety of individuals and groups. Finally, he will have earned a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary and will be ordained or prepared for ordination within the Christian Reformed Church in North America.
