Opportunity for Full-Time Worship & Tech Arts Director

CCC_Logo_BlackThe Crossroads Community Church, located in Schererville, IN, has begun a nationwide search for a Worship and Technical Arts Director. As a Christ-follower, the Worship and Technical Arts Director will be dedicated to personal spiritual growth and to proclaiming Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. As a gifted artist, he or she will be responsible for creating an inspiring portrait through words (both spoken and sung) which welcomes and invites those gathered to join their hearts and voices in worship. In the process, he or she will lead the worship and technical arts teams of Crossroads Church, working in partnership with the pastoral staff to provide leadership and vision for corporate worship.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a quality vocalist and skilled instrumentalist characterized by a passion to lead others to vibrant fellowship with our Triune God. He or she will have experience leading worship services, a working knowledge of the technical (audio, video, and lighting) elements of a worship service, and be ready, willing and able to deliver excellence independently or collaboratively. The ministry context suggests that the ideal candidate excels in empowering others through faithful preparation (mobilizing volunteers) and strategic planning.

The healthy and vibrant Crossroads Community Church was established in 1994. Currently, about 600 people gather for two morning services each Sunday in a state-of-the-art facility constructed in 2005. The Worship and Technical Arts Director will join an enthusiastic and dedicated ministry team led by Senior Pastor Drew Brown. The worship and technical arts ministries are supported by a multi-generational and diverse team of about forty volunteers. The congregation is affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church in North America.

The town of Schererville, IN was listed at one of the “100 Best Places to Live in the U.S” by Money Magazine. This growing community, with a suburban feel, includes over 29,000 people and is located about 45 minutes southeast of Chicago. Schererville is graced by excellent services and characterized by conventional neighborhoods, good schools, excellent medical facilities, strong businesses, and a deep sense of community.
