American Reformed Church (DeMotte, IN), a healthy congregation of nearly 300 weekly worshipers, has begun a nationwide search for a Pastor of Youth and Discipleship. This person will take over a vibrant and flourishing teen ministry and, if so gifted and inclined, will have the opportunity to preach occasionally.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who has been called and gifted for ministry with teens, who flourishes in an established church rooted in a rural community (though one in close proximity to the suburbs), who has received biblical and theological training, and who embraces a Reformed theology and worldview. As a valued member of the ministry team, the new Pastor of Youth and Discipleship will have the privilege of furthering the mission and vision of the congregation.
ARC is a nearly 100 year-old congregation with a rich history and bright future. The congregation, led by Pastor Troy Nanninga and affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, is committed to connecting the community to Christ and His Church. The congregation visualizes itself being drawn closer to God and one another as they worship together, engage in Biblical teaching, live into God’s design for the church, and encourage one another in the faith. The congregation also hopes to connect the community to the love of Jesus and the truth of the Gospel by working diligently to link outreach programs to the Sunday morning worship services.
