Village Bible Church has begun a search for a full-time Worship Pastor for its Sugar Grove campus. VBC is a Christian, Protestant, evangelical, non-denominational church led by Pastor Tim Badal. The congregation lives and breathes to Discover, Develop and Deploy disciples of Jesus.
Under Pastor Tim’s leadership, the ministry has become multi-site. In 2008, VBC adopted two congregations: one in Aurora and the other in Shabbona. In 2013, God opened the door to the launch of a Spanish-speaking campus and the El Camino campus was born. In 2018, VBC adopted another congregation in Plano. The five locations are connected as one, despite physical distance, because each has a similar dynamic worship experience, including “personal touches” such as live bands and campus pastoral teams. The teaching pastors at each campus preach the same sermon series bringing continuity across all locations. The pastors of all campuses meet weekly to collaborate with each other regarding ministry locally and church-wide.
VBC is looking for a full-time Worship Pastor to join the Sugar Grove ministry team. The Sugar Grove campus is the original and the largest of the campuses, worshiping about 650 each Sunday. The ideal candidate for this position will be a dedicated Christ-follower with a servant’s heart, a lover of the local church, a gifted vocalist and instrumentalist, an experienced leader of contemporary corporate worship, and a self-starter. The ideal candidate will also have a deep appreciation for the formative power of the Sunday services and, thereby give attention to not only leading songs, but leading people into a deeper relationship with Christ. Finally, the ideal candidate will have a desire and ability to contribute to the overall health and effectiveness of a team of dedicated professionals.
