That’s the mission of Lincolnway Christian Church (New Lenox, IL), a congregation that values relationships with the Lord, one another, and the community.
Lincolnway Christian Church is seeking a man or woman to serve as their next leader of worship. This person will have the privilege of planning and leading worship for about 300 people who gather each week, of rehearsing and coaching a team of dedicated volunteers, and of partnering with Pastor Steve Baker to provide relevant Sunday services. This part-time position provides a modest salary and the opportunity to combine ministry to a local church with other personal interests.
The worship ministry of Lincolnway Christian Church is supported by a lovely facility, spacious auditorium, up-to-date audio technology, an outstanding staff led by Pastor Steve Baker, a dedicated group of volunteers, and a congregation that loves to worship the Lord. Furthermore, the congregation responds well to a passionate and energetic worship leader. They love to be accompanied by a band of acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keys, and percussion.
The ideal candidate for this position is a devoted Christ-follower who wants to gain experience as a worship leader and/or supplement his or her main income stream by serving the local church with God-given gifts. The major time commitments are Wednesday evening rehearsals and Sunday morning services. Time will also need to be set-aside to meet regularly with Pastor Steve Baker.
The ideal candidate will also be a gifted musician who loves to worship the Lord and prompt the praises of God’s people. He or she will lead worship vocally while playing acoustic guitar and/or keys, as well as enjoy recruiting and coaching volunteers. Experience leading worship, audio-video expertise, and the ability to enrich the worship service through graphics are all bonuses.
