The First Reformed Church of Friesland (WI) seeks a Youth & Family Discipleship Pastor to help them glorify God by making spiritually healthy, reproducing followers of Jesus Christ. This pastor will have the privilege of leading one of the most dynamic youth ministries in the region. These ministries, supported by an excellent facility which includes a large Family Center (gym), have been a strength of the congregation for many years and their reach extends beyond the church into the community. The new Youth and Family Discipleship Pastor will have the privilege of building on the excellent foundation of those who have come before him, as well as working alongside Rob Ford, the Senior Pastor, who has been serving this multi-generational congregation since 2006.
The ideal candidate for this position is a dedicated and energetic leader with a passion to serve youth and their families, and with a desire to make an impact in the community for Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will also be gifted with strong communication, relational and organizational skills. The influence of the Youth and Family Disciples Pastor will be increased by an enthusiasm for sports. Finally, the new pastor will have the opportunity to serve in a variety of ways and contexts, including preaching. The congregation is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America.
In the family-friendly rural village of Friesland, in the northeast corner of Columbia County, you find a community of neighbors helping neighbors. The residents of the village enjoy knowing one another by name, gathering for community wide events, and celebrating their rich history (such as the 100+ year old Friesland Band). The community is supported by the Cambria-Friesland School District, five miles south of Friesland, Randolph Christian School six miles from Friesland, and the Central Wisconsin Christian High School.
